Email – Definition - Messages distributed by electronic means from one computer user to one or more recipients via a network. I have always thought that they are a great way for communication especially for me – not retired and trying to run a club mainly after hours. I like how there is great inclusiveness with the use of emails, and everyone is informed and up to date.

When I was Chairman and Secretary of the Victoria Branch of RANZCO (Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists), I was taught that it also was good to spread the message around so there were no excuse not knowing or not acting a preferred way.

District Conference Gets Off to Piping Hot Start!
The 2022 Rotary District 9800 Conference in Albury got off to a stirring start this weekend, with a rousing bracket of bagpipe music, thanks to the Scots Albury Pipe Band. Prior to that, an Elder of the Wiradjeri people, traditional custodians of the land upon which the conference is being held, welcomed delegates to Albury.

Glenferrie Rotarians PP Cheryl Pisterman and PP Charles Tran  both received significant recognition at the Conference. Cheryl Pisterman was presented with a Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service for her many years of dedicated service to The Rotary Foundation. PP Charles Tran received a crystal recognition piece and a Major Donor lapel pin in recognition of his generous financial commitment to the Foundation. Wanted: 50 Mentors for International Students
Coming out of two years of lockdowns and restricted ability to engage in humanitarian projects it is now a great time to stretch our wings and get back into action. And there is probably no better project, for the times, than the new international student mentoring program. A great opportunity for ALL members to get more engaged in a high-impact project.

The new Rotary International Student Mentoring program is a great way to engage Rotarians, particularly newer Rotarians. Even if members are still concerned with COVID this is a program Rotarians can do in their home, via video conferencing. And the value to both the student and Victoria is considerable.

What is the Relevance of ANZAC Day?
What is the Relevance of ANZAC Day?
