The Rotary District 9800 Yvonne Moon Memorial Ride will take place from March 13 - 19 and I will be participating.  The ride acknowledges the extraordinary efforts of  the Late Yvonne Moon OAM, for her fundraising in support of Ovarian Cancer Research and Cancer Wellness (RoCan).  Thirty cyclists will take up the challenge of riding 1,000 kilometres from Avington to Ballarat, Castlemaine, Nagambi, Mt Macedon, Bacchus Marsh and back to Avington.
If you would like to make a donation to support RoCan in this cause please use the following link https://www.mycause.com.au/page/246200/thelma-hutchison

All riders participating in the event are responsible for meeting their own costs and in addition commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 for RoCan.  It's a fantastic event and a great opportunity to meet new people from other Rotary Clubs.  I would recommend this annual event for anyone who has a keen interest in combining cycling with fundraising, enjoys social camaraderie and a big challenge.  I also understand this year that ebikes will be included in the peloton.
