Progress Report from the Alternative Income Committee

While the Farmer’s Market is our primary income source and into which members put much effort, in 2025 it was decided that we should be considering other sources of major income as a back up or addition. A committee was formed which Mark Howlett chairs and which has been ticking along since then. At this stage, after discussing many possible sources of major income, a number are still being considered:

Annual Golf Day. Annual Xmas tree sales. Via the farmer’s market and other avenues. International Art and Craft Tours. Thelma and Lindy are discussing and will propose soon. Others include an annual ball, comedy night, etc still under discussion. If members have other suggestions, they would be most welcome (talk to Mark Howlett or email him here)

We are now looking for members willing to be involved in organising the golf day and/or the xmas tree sales. Please discuss your interest with Mark Howlett or Don Moore for the golf day or Thelma for the xmas trees.
