Dear Members,
"Zoom" - this word has become an everyday utterance in my life and maybe yours as well for the past eight weeks. I have been musing on it's meaning so google says...... it can be used as a verb, noun or an exclamation, eg "a car zoomed past", "the camera zoom changed smoothly from a long shot to a close up", and "suddenly, zoom he's off". And now we use it in another context as a communication tool.
Zoom will continue to be used........
by Rotary at a local level for fellowship, meetings and Changeover night, at District level, and even Rotary International will now use it for their Conference. See full details in the following articles.
Our Board will meet (yes, by zoom) on Monday 11 May. Membership fees for 2020-2021 will be reviewed and set and a draft budget will be presented. The budget will be based on a number of assumptions given the uncertainty of the re-commencement of the Farmers Market, our main revenue source.
