At our last dinner meeting we had an important presentation about the problem of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). This disorder has existed from time immemorial, however it is only in recent decades that it has become more understood. Many Rotarians listening to this talk were able to relate to this disorder as they have witnessed it in relatives, especially those who have been sent to fight in wars.
As my year as President comes to an end, I have been attending the Changeover events of other Rotary clubs in the City of Boroondara and have enjoyed them very much. I have met many Rotarians from other clubs throughout the year and have consequently extended my friendships in the sphere of Rotary and this has been a real bonus.
I look forward to our club’s Changeover tomorrow evening.
This is my last President’s message for the bulletin. The next one will be from our incoming President, Chris Raw. I wish Chris every success in her new role and know that she will be well supported by the club.
Warm Regards,
Helena
