Our Christmas Party this year was a great success. It was a beautiful evening and the Conservatory at the Studley Park Boathouse is in a delightful bush setting by the Yarra River.
Thank you to Alex Marshall for organizing the event and thank you to Thelma Hutchison and Amelia Anderson for creating a Christmas Quiz for our entertainment.
Christmas Market Survives the Rain
The sky threatened the worst as the day began but a little precipation didn't discourage Santa (aka Lawrie Mann). After all, where he comes from, precipitation is the norm. While Santa and his helper were busy ringing their bell and handing out sweets, patrons with an eagle eye spotted Santa's own present for Christmas, tucked away in his chariot and almost out of sight. No doubt about it, Santa's planning a very Merry Christmas this year, and why not!
The Next Time Will be the First Time if you Know What I Mean!
The Rotary Club of Glenferrie has broken up for Christmas, with members gleefully bolting for the door with their final Christmas goodies from the Farmers Market.
Our next meeting will be our first meeting for 2026, but to be Frank, it won't actually be a ‘Meeting’ at all. No speeches, no charge, no need to book, just turn up with your Esky, some tucker and beveridges, and a chair, for a pleasant summer evening with friends over a sizzling bbq at our Rotary 100 playground at the historic Yarra Bank Reserve in Hawthorn on Tuesday, January 27th 2026.
So, now that we are well on our way in our club's 51st year, have a very Merry Christmas, Glenferrie Rotarians, families and friends, and a safe and prosperous new year. See you in 2026!
