It is with much sadness that we notify members of the recent death of Jerzy Ordega.
After being introduced to the Club in 2019 by Robert Winspear — a long-standing friend and business colleague — Jerzy quickly became involved in Club life. With his significant contribution to a number of committees, including the International Service and RORP committees, and his warm and friendly manner, he was a valuable and respected member of the club. It was through Jerzy's personal initiative that the club located and donated $5,000 to Ukraine refugee projects in Poland in 2022.
After a serious car accident, we sadly lost some contact with Jerzy, and he resigned from the club last year due to health issues and inability to drive.
Our understanding is that he died suddenly at home while watering the garden.
We will notify members of the funeral arrangements as they come to hand.
