Looking Back: A Happy Team at Glenferrie
As we count down to our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we’re revisiting some memorable moments from the club’s past. In 1985, the Rotary Club of Glenferrie marked its first decade by combining the Annual Changeover with a spirited celebration at the Hawthorn Football Club Social Club, Glenferrie Oval — complete with bagpipes and a distinctly Scottish theme. Whether or not they remained a “happy team at Hawthorn” after the piper’s performance is lost to history, but the smiles on the faces of these Glenferrie Rotarians tell the story of a club full of friendship, fun, and fellowship.
