The Rotary Club of Glenferrie will partner with The Rotary Foundation and Rotary District 2820 Japan to host a Rotary Global Scholar in 2023. Ms. Hikaru Sato will undertake post-graduate studies at the Australian Catholic University in Victoria Parade, Fitzroy.
Global Grants valued from US$30,000 up to US$60,000 for post-graduate studies are available to support students engaging in a field of study aligned with one of The Rotary Foundation's seven 'Areas of Focus', otherwise known as 'Critical Causes, which are: Peace and conflict prevention / resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development and the environment.
Members will have an opportunity to welcome Ms. Sato, who will be mentored by President Teresa, Amelia Anderson and PP Charles Tran, at a meeting early in the new year.
