The Rotary Club of Glenferrie has once again nominated to host a Rotary Global Grant Scholar from Japan, with the club's nomination submitted this month to the Rotary Foundation for consideration. More details will be released as they become available. It is expected that the successful scholar will commence their studies in Melbourne in mid-2025. Club Foundation Director Joanne Shentu will lead a team of Glenferrie Rotarians who will act as hosts and mentors to the student. Please let Joanne know at a club meeting if you would like to be part of the fun hosting the club's assigned student.

Rotary Post Graduate Global Grant Scholarships, valued from US$30,000, support students who are undertaking a post graduate degree at a major university in support of one of the seven focus areas as defined by The Rotary Foundation. The student to be hosted by the club this year is expected to be enrolled at the University of Melbourne. More to come.
The club's successful hosting of Rotary Foundation Global Scholar Hikaru Sato in 2023-2024 has inspired a second Global Scholar hosting nomination for 2025
