RIMERN is an emergency relief network in Inner Melbourne that provides goods to families in need in our District.

They are in urgent need of donations to support the demands for its services of assisting individuals and families in need.

The current request is for
1.    bedding (double and queen size), from doonas to pillows.
2.    Small electrical appliances from microwaves, electric jugs, mixers, sandwich makers and toasters.
3.    White goods-dryers, washing machines and fridges.
How to make donations?
Glenferrie Rotarians can donate house goods to RIMERN by following the following protocols.
If you have goods to donate… no phone calls, please but send email with details to donatedgoods@rimern.org.au that includes the following:
a.    Provide your name, email address and mobile.
b.    Location of goods to be collected.
c.    Brief description of the key goods offered and attach photos of these key items.
d.    Critical date to be collected by.

RIMERN volunteers will quickly respond to your email and organise what they will take either by “Drop Off” or “Collection”.

Options to send to RIMERN
1.    Drop off
For smaller items such as bedding & linen and small electrical items, you can drop off to the RIMERN warehouse at 32 Lincoln St EAST BRUNSWICK (cnr Moreland Road), using your own vehicles.
You are welcome & encouraged to go and to see the warehouse in action.
2.    Truck Collection runs are on Wednesdays & Saturdays.
This is for the bigger goods such as beds, mattresses, fridges & washing machines.
RIMERN staff will quickly respond to your email and organise what they will take and set a mutual time with you to collect it.
Let’s use this request to do some spring cleaning, for Glenferrie Rotarians get those unused white goods and small goods to RIMERN
If you have any queries, please contact either David Fallick or Geoff Widmer.
