My personal theme this month is RYOK?

I have had many members ask for Leave of Absence for personal reasons and it makes me wonder how all our members are coping with life’s stresses.  The last couple of months, I have personally come under great strain with just my workload.  I am coping (I think!) but I am anxious that you all are able to continue in your roles as a model citizen expelling the virtues of Rotary in your life.  Rotary has guiding principles to assist you in life.

Don’t forget the Four Way test
  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICAL to all concerned?
How good is that!!  If we can focus, are own problems are minor compared to all the hurt in the world.  We are Rotarians – We set the example for how to conduct our lives.   Don’t forget that our club is one big family and we should be looking out for each other.

So, what a great way to have a membership night to “advertise” to the community a method to give back and assist those in the community, and the world who are less fortunate than ourselves.

The week that is coming up-

Membership night

March 23rd will be a membership night.  Elizabeth has been busy getting new members interested and we really need to support our membership committee.  I would encourage and expect everyone to bring a potential member along to this meeting.  The video, which Richard Blakeman prepared for our Australia Day Celebrations is to be shown as it is a fantastic showcase of our work.

Please remember to book ahead on Try Bookings.

See you tomorrow night.  Please come and support your Membership Service.
