Our esteemed secretary Geoff has circulated a members survey. Our last one was done about three years ago. I would ask all members to read it and respond. At the risk of beating a well-worn drum, it’s your club. If you think things are going well, please let us know. If you think things can be improved, again please let us have your suggestions.
Rimern event.
The Club again had a successful trip to Rimern, and members had the chance to see the amazing things that Rimern is doing and has done in a remarkably short time. The Club should be very proud of our engagement with this organization. I understand that a highly successful dinner was had after the Rimern visit at the Darebin RSL. Just a reminder that we are always looking to expand the Rotary experience by having events outside of Kooyong.
District Learning and Engagement Forum (District Assembly)
Several members of next year’s Board attended the training day held last Sunday 4 May. Having attended a couple of these in the past, I am sure that the information imparted will stand them in good stead.
Multi-District Impact Summit (District Conference)
The District Conference is being held this year in Adelaide in conjunction with another District. I am attending and if anyone else is going please let me know.
Boroondara Farmers Market
Our next Farmers market is coming up on the 17th of May. I again urge members to support the Market. Come down, have a coffee and chat with your fellow members on the gate or just hanging around. It’s a great event but needs our support.
Changeover
Just a reminder that the Changeover Dinner is looming large for the 24 June when the Club will be delivered into the safe hands of President Elect Helena. Make certain to buy your tickets when the invitation goes out, it is really one of the best nights of the year.
