The older I get, the faster the years seem to go by. It’s amazing to me that I have been President for nearly 5 months. It’s gone by in the blink of an eye. One of the main reasons I suspect is that we are a busy and active Club with many projects. Also, we do pretty well on the fellowship side.

A function coming up on 22 November is the Sumba Eye Project function. This function will combine the best of both worlds with the intention to raise money for the SEP with plenty of auction both loud and silent. It is also a time for fellowship with friends and family.

The Christmas function is on 17th December. It is our last meeting for the year due to our having dropped the meeting on the third Tuesday of the month. It will be a purely fellowship occasion, again with friends and family. Like all Christmas functions however it will be a time for reflection on the year that has gone and, on the year, or at least six months of my presidency which is to come.

I look forward to seeing you at both of these functions. Finally, the memorial for Helen Worladge OAM, wife of long-term member, Wayne is to be held at Malvern Town Hall at 11.00 am on 22 November 2024.Registration is required. See story for link.
