The new Rotary Year has well and truly started. The Rotary Theme selected by RI President Stephanie Urchick is “the Magic of Rotary “. As has been said many times, this is a bit of an inside joke as all Rotarians know that magic happens with a heck of a lot of time and effort by all Rotarians. Many thanks to Past President Mark Howlett for a wonderful year of leadership and delivering to me a Club in such great shape. I will do my best not to drive it onto the rocks.
I feel that I have accomplished something by getting through my first meeting(s), the EGM beautifully orchestrated by Secretary Geoff, and our Club Forum where most of the directors were able to set out their plans for the year.
I look forward to the continuation of existing projects and activities and the progression of our Sierra Leone project and also the Sumba Fund Raiser, being put together by Mark Ellis.Have a great fortnight and I am looking forward to our next meeting on 23rd July.
