At our last dinner meeting, we were delighted to have our former club member and Past President, Charles Tran, present a vital training session on how to use the AED (automated external defibrillator) which we have at our Farmers Market and which is kept in the container. Charles also gave us a demonstration of CPR on a mannequin. We were all very interested and there were many questions as this information is so important to all of us; the ability to save a life.

Charles has trained as a St John Ambulance First Responder, to add to the many other skills and training he has acquired over the years. Members were very pleased to hear that Charles is returning to our club as a full member, having spent time as a friend of Rotary.

On Sunday the 23rd of May,  some Rotarians from our club, including Chris Raw and Myself and others who are giving presentations, will attend the annual District Assembly at Camberwell High School. This is a very important event in the Rotary calendar as it keeps us up to date with the latest in Rotary matters and encourages us to mix with Rotarians from other clubs.

Warm regards,

Helena
