About Peace Poles
Peace Poles are internationally recognised symbols of hope and harmony, bearing the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in multiple languages. They serve as reminders for individuals, schools, and communities to reflect on peace, tolerance, and global understanding.
Rotary’s Commitment to Peace
Peace and Conflict Resolution is one of the seven key Areas of Focus of The Rotary Foundation, guiding Rotary’s mission to create lasting change in the world. Through education, dialogue, and local action, Rotary helps to promote peace both at home and abroad.
As an official Peacebuilder Club, the Rotary Club of Glenferrie proudly supports initiatives that inspire peace within our schools and communities. The dedication of this Peace Pole at Loreto Mandeville Hall stands as a symbol of that shared commitment to a more understanding and compassionate world.
Please join us on November 11th as we come together to reflect, remember, and reaffirm Rotary’s enduring message of peace.
