Past President David Sutherland was a longstanding Rotarian who joined our Club in 1976 soon after its establishment. David passed away on May 27th in his 90th year. He joined the Rotary Club of Glenferrie on June 1st 1976, the club's inaugural year. He was Club President in 1984-85 and was a Paul Harris Fellow. At his recent memorial service Jenny, David's wife, requested that a donation be given to the Rotary Foundation in lieu of flowers. Thank you very much for the donation to Rotary Foundation. David really enjoyed his many years in Rotary, the fellowship and all the wonderful projects he was involved in. "The word is giving", be it ripple beds for Boroondara folk in need, sewing machines to Timor and many other Foundation's projects.
