José Ramos-Horta, President of East Timor from 20th May 2007 to 20 May 2012, will be among the impressive lineup of speakers at the Rotary Peace Symposium to be held in April 2021. The event will be one of a number of events to mark the 100th anniversary of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand.
Other speakers featured during the online event will be the Australian public health and infectious diseases physician Associate Professor Tilman Ruff AO, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Emma Leslie AM and Natascha Hryckow, Coordinator UN Panel of Experts on Somalia. RI President Holger Knaack and past RI presidents will address the symposium in an acknowledgemnet of Rotary Peacebuilding efforts.
