Come join PP Thelma and me in our very own Glenferrie Grinners Team and Walk for Those Who Can't in the month of October. Let's paint the streets within your 5km area End Polio Red!!

It is very straightforward to register to join the team and then to get your friends, family etc. to sponsor you. And every dollar raised by our Glenferrie Grinners will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  Australian residents will receive a tax receipt for contributions over $2.50.
So what’s involved?

  1. Click on the team link above and add your name to the Glenferrie Grinners

  2. Register your target (say 10km, 20km, 50km or whatever distance suits) during the month of October

  3. Invite friends, family, colleagues and local businesses to sponsor you

  4. Record your activity online, monitor the leaderboards, track your results online

  5. And to add to your visibility in the community (bearing in mind that we will be in very small groups of two or four at the most), purchase an End Polio tee for $20.00 - the proceeds of which will be added to our Rotary Glenferrie's contribution to vaccinate children and end this dreadful disease worldwide. If you wish to purchase this "fashion statement" please check the sizing below, let me know your details, the order will be placed, and the tees ready for you to wear in good time for October. These tees are also a great way to start a conversation about Rotary.

What will you achieve?

  • Save children now in polio hotspots like Pakistan and Afghanistan

  • Help develop innovative new vaccination programs

  • Help plan the polio endgame, including repurposing the polio network for other health needs

  • Deliver a polio-free world
