On Saturday, 11th October, the Glenferrie Gallopers laced up their walking shoes and hit the Yarra River Trail for this year’s End Polio Walk. It was a day filled with sunshine, smiles, and strong team spirit as members came together in support of Rotary’s mission to end polio worldwide.

So far, the Glenferrie Gallopers have raised $2,393, an impressive milestone that brings Rotary one step closer to eradicating polio forever. (Ed. note: Even better, that $2,366 becomes $7,179 when the 2:1 matching grant from the Gates Foundation is added). A big thank you goes to everyone who participated and those who generously sponsored the walkers.

The team will continue walking and fundraising throughout October, and supporters are encouraged to donate and help them reach their goal. Every step taken and every dollar raised brings hope to children around the world.
