Other than being a Rotarian, what do you like to get up to in your spare time? Is it rollerblading, parapenting, enjoying fine art or perhaps philately? Whatever your penchant, Rotary has a group for you. Rotary Fellowships are global, independently organised groups of Rotarians, their spouses/partners and Rotaractors, who share a common vocation or recreational interest.
These clubs began informally in 1928 when Rotarians who shared a flare for the international language Esperanto joined together. The longest running club is the International Yachting Fellowship of Rotarians, formed in 1947. They’re a fleet of Rotarian boating enthusiasts. Each edition of Networker will highlight an international fellowship group. There are even some local ones attached to D9800, some for more physically active members and some for members who just want to connect in a relaxed way, over a fine wine or a movie. See what sparks your interest and embrace the opportunity of making new friends around the world, and generally enhancing your Rotary experience. They might even help to stave off insanity during the Covid-19 lockdowns.

An example of a fellowship club is the website of the International Fellowship of Canoeing Rotarians (IFCR).
The IFCR offers Rotarians the opportunity to share canoeing, kayaking, sea kayaking, dragon boating, outrigger canoeing or other paddling activities and provide service related to paddling and healthy waterways.
Belonging to the Fellowship of Canoeing Rotarians adds a wonderful dimension to the service and fellowship of Rotary. Accordingly all Rotarians are invited to consider joining the fellowship.
