This a reminder of our work party at Camp Getaway, Axedale, 2 hours NW of Melbourne, on the weekend of August 9th-11th 2024. The camp was created as an initiative of the Rotary Club of Bendigo and over many years of voluntary work has been upgraded to accommodate 70 guests, in great comfort. It provides a meeting place for support groups and offers a sanctuary for those in need of time away from their daily struggles. It is within our District 9800 and our Club has previously attended work parties there before.
Excellent accommodation is available, and I would encourage members together with partners and friends to sign up on our Club website under the "Rosters" tab. By all reports it is a fun weekend, usually commencing with a meal at the Axedale pub on the Friday evening.
