At its meeting during March the Board supported our Club's involvement in a work party at Camp Getaway, Axedale, 2 hours NW of Melbourne. The camp at Axedale was created as an initiative of the Rotary Club of Bendigo and has been gradually upgraded by Rotarians, within our District 9800, contributing thousands of voluntary hours. The camp accommodates up to 70 guests with modern facilities including three cabins, each accommodating four guests in two bedrooms, separated by a sitting room.
Camp Getaway caters for those of all abilities and mobilities, provides a meeting place for support groups, and offers a sanctuary for those in need of time away from their daily struggles. There will be tasks to cater for all abilities and importantly the weekend will provide an opportunity to enjoy each other's company whilst providing essential maintenance. The weekend is commended to all members.

A sign-up page will soon be created on the Club's Website.
