Congratulations to Helena Wimpole, the lucky winner of the “Bring Along a Guest” promotion over 2023 / 2024, as drawn by President Peter at the last Club Dinner. With delightful surprise, Helena received a lovely bottle of Chandon bubbles, along with some exquisite chocolates. Overall, much appreciation to the handful of Members who participated in this promotion last year; it added to the flavour of the night. This promotion is back again in 2024 / 2025! We look forward to many more Members getting excited and bringing along a guest this year.
Maybe it is your neighbour, your favourite local shopkeeper; a chum you have known forever, or someone you have just met recently. The objective remains to help grow the membership of our vibrant Rotary Club, as well as to add to some spice to our Dinner Meetings. Your guest may not initially have an interest in joining Rotary Glenferrie, but coming to a Dinner Meeting will provide an opportunity to meet new people, have good conversation and hear from a topical speaker. It may spark a curiosity to learn more about what we do, and they may be enthused to come along again. Even if the guest doesn’t eventually become a member of Rotary Glenferrie, they are bound to have had at least one enjoyable evening, as well as contributed something different to the conversation of the night.

Members are always welcome to bring along their partners. Yet, as the primary objective of this promotion is to grow membership through a personal introduction, partners will not count towards the below prize. Just please book in your guest via the link in your personal invitation; the one in the Bulletin; or else via the home page of our website. All Members who bring along a guest will be entered into a raffle to be drawn at a Club Dinner in July 2025. The prize, while currently remains a mystery, will be splendid.

But the bigger reward is knowing that you have helped to promote the great work of Rotary Glenferrie, as well as potentially to grow our membership.
