A very pleasant Saturday morning greeted Stallholders and Patrons with early temperatures around 20.0°c. The Market importantly was back on firm ground on Patterson Reserve and out of the carpark allowing easy adjacent parking access. There were 66 Stall attending, the largest contingent for many recent Markets. We could easily have had another five Stalls join us, all regretting not being there but hampered by the difficulty in obtaining Staff and in the case of two of the five suffering from broken bones.
Two new Stallholders were part of Saturday’s Market. They were Sennetts Valley Farm selling various types of garlic and Primal Alternative selling grain and gluten free alternative breads, pizza bases, granolas, wraps, cookies, pancake mixes etc.

I mentioned in my last Report that Robert Winspear and I surveyed each and every Stallholder in October last year and 43 opted to join us for the First Week Saturday Market. We will need to work harder to ensure Stallholders adhere to
their earlier commitment which did not eventuate on 6th February. Also to generate more Patrons we are reviewing with the Council our level of promotion. It needs real boosting. We have been waiting for printed Market calendars to letterbox drop for too long. This is one of the important keys to getting ‘patrons on the paddock’.
