The weather was dry on Saturday with mostly cloudy conditions and temperatures hovering around 15° during the morning. We had 70 Stallholders in attendance, the highest number since December 2018 when we had 72 Stalls.

Pleasingly we had three (3) Stallholders attend for the first time. They were Pippa’s Kitchen who prepare slow cooked meats, meals, veggie patties and condiments packaged for take home to heat and eat. Also Eddies Cider selling both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cider, plus a very busy Spring Creek Organics selling a well displayed range of vegetables.
I thank the following Rotary and other Volunteers who make this Market happen month in month out.  Past
President Robert Winspear thank you for physically tailoring the Site Plan to work so well on Patterson Reserve.  Thank you Wayne  Worladge – my understudy – for checking my Site Plan details.  Thank you to the Captain of the Early Morning Shift David  Fallick (who also assisted in marking up Patterson Reserve) plus fellow Rotarians Jerzy Ordega and Past President Ian Dobson, the latter coming up from Mt Martha.  I also wish to sincerely thank Susie White a current Board Member of the Boroondara Cares Foundation for volunteering on that Shift.

Thank you to the Captain of the Late Shift Michael Hills and his team of Past President Don Heath, Rod Smith and Past Rotarian Jane Gilchrist.  Thank you to New Member Simon Messenger who was not rostered but came down and assisted with the pack-up.  We also especially appreciated that Anne Belyaeva, a potential new Club Member, took time to come down to assist and observe, kindly guided by Michael and Don.

Following a request we set up a marquee for Boroondara Riversdale Ward Councillor Susan Biggar to
‘meet and greet’ her Ward community.  We were also pleased to meet those Council Officers who assisted
Councillor Biggar throughout the morning, David Thompson - Manager Governance and Legal and Helen Pavlidis - Senior Governance Officer.  Again it was pleasant to see Junction Ward Councillor Di Gillies visiting the Market.  The ever helpful Nickie Wainwright - Boroondara Farmers Market Lead – with whom Rotary Glenferrie liaises at the Council, visited again and we are always grateful for her support.

We continue to appreciate Past President Rob’s and Miffy Hogan’s work on the Roster and for Boroondara Farmers Market Treasurer and Past President John Suriano’s invoicing and constant payment follow-up.  Thank you to Cheryl Pisterman for promoting the Market through our ‘ClubRunner’  database  and to Farmers Market Committee Member Pater Harries and his wife Marley for distributing Market calendar dates.
