The RCG Board met on 22nd October to review the Club financial performance and Club strategies and activities from the various Committee Directors.

President Chris provided an update on some of the fund-raising activities into 2027 being planned including a Gala Night likely in the 2nd quarter 2027, a Golf Day at Kew Golf Course on 31st May 27, a joint film and pub dinner Club night with Camberwell Rotary at Lido and Glenferrie Hotel in the 1st quarter 27 and a Trivia Night. Sub-committees are being formed to manage these important fundraising initiatives. If members have ideas or want to assist with these projects, contact President Chris.

This list follows on from 3 very successful recent Club activities being the visit to Pentridge for a visit to our State’s criminal past associated with important Club Fellowship. In addition, there was the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle in September which raised about $2,500 for Shelter Shed in Nepal and End Polio Walk in October, raising about $2100. This was achieved thanks for the great effort from Foundation Committee lead by Jo Shentu and her enthusiastic leadership on these events.

In addition, the following the RC Glenferrie participation in the Swinburne Youth Expo, the Club had a very successful dinner meeting with potential graduating students who expressed interest in volunteering activities by joining Rotoract and/or receiving assistance in their job transition. Finally, the Membership Committee is very active in finalising the recruitment of potentially 3 new members whom we expect will be RC Glenferrie members before year end.

In line with growing tends to use social media to promote the activities of the Club, President Chris has formed a sub committee to advise on the protocols and co-ordination of social media for the use of BFM Instagram account with the Face Book Account for the RC Glenferrie as well as the importance of maintaining an upto date the Club website. The Club acknowledges the social media communications of Garfield Lee for the BFM and Kersha Chettri for the Club.

The Club is in sound financial position with its cashflow within the Budget expectations based on solid operating results for the Farmers Market year to date with higher patronage and increased store holder numbers for the main monthly markets. Fund raising activities noted above, when completed, will strengthen the balance sheet of the Club.
