A passenger sitting in the back seat of the taxi tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question. The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and screeched to a halt only centimetres from a shop window. For a few seconds, everything was quiet in the cab. Then the driver said, "Listen, mate, don't ever do that again will yer. You scared the living daylights out of me!" The passenger apologised. "Sorry matey! I didn't realise a little tap would scare you so much."
The driver replied, "No worries, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver and for a minute I forgot where I was. I've been driving a funeral van for the past 25 years." |
