Formation of a Rotary Club of Glenferrie Mahjong Club
I am in the process of forming a Mahjong Club within RCG and would welcome any interest members have in being part of this group. I have two mahjong sets (one from Maria Pantling), so we have capacity for up to eight to ten members to participate. I used to play a lot in my teens then family came along and no time…...but now in “ Life Transition,” I decided to restart but not sure of the finer rules now or how to score the winner! Let’s give it a go…...
I am open to suggestions on how to proceed but some options to think about are the following:
- Location: Meet at my place 99 Robinson RD in Hawthorn (initially)
- Time : Meet the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm and play for 2 hours. A second time per month could be during the day.
- Who ?: Open to both beginners and accomplished players and if needed we will source a Mahjong expert to teach us the finer points of the game!
- Refreshments: Bring a “plate” and alcoholic drinks. Coffee and Tea provided.
- Start Date : To be decided but could be 3rd June.
