The drop off arrangements for the Salvation bread delivery have changed for the better.
1. The key-safe code is now 1865. Please put this in your phone asap.
Aide memoire: Salvation Army started in 1865!
2. The key-safe actually contains a key card which unlocks the rear door of the newly renovated hall that is approached from the Salvation Army carpark off Athelstan Road. The entrance to the carpark is just before 4 Athelstan Road where we previously delivered the bread. The key-safe is on a down-pipe adjacent to a blue bin to the left of the door into the hall. See attached photos.
3. Put the bread on the kitchen servery which is on your right as you enter.
4. The area is now well lit.

PowerAssist All Abilities Basketball is a weekly basketball competition run by volunteers, that caters for all abilities across 5 grades, played on Friday nights across two venues (Hawthorn and Kew) from Feb to November. Rotary Glenferrie volunteers are required to collect payments from players and guests. MLC Basketball Courts: enter via gate on Fitzwilliam Street 30 metres east of its junction with Selbourne Road.

Andi Hapu graduated with a nursing degree in Bali with support from The Sumba Foundation, He is currently in Melbourne pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Health with the support of The Government and expects to graduate in June 2025, Since 2008 he has been seconded by the Government to support the Malaria Control Program at The Sumba Foundation, He has worked as a nurse in the Malaria Clinic and is actively involved in conducting mass blood screenings in the Villages of Lamboya and Wanukaka in West Sumba as well as in Kodi, South West Sumba, He will be talking about The Malaria Control Program of The Sumba Foundation and Leprosy Program. |

Murray Verso is a past District Governor for D9800 and is currently the End Polio Now Co-ordinator for Zone 8 ( Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Countries), He joined The Rotary Club of Williamstown in 1981 and has served the club in various capacities including terms as Club President (1986-1987 and 2008-2009, He was recently appointed by Rotary International to be the lead facilitator for the training of incoming End Polio Now Co-ordinators at The Global Philanthropy Seminar to be held in Evanston April 2025, Murray and his wife Irene are both retired General Medical Practioners, As The Medical Officer for The City Of Williamstown and later Hobsons Bay, Murray oversaw the Municipality's immunization programs, His Zone Role combines his interest in infectious disease and his passion for Rotary.

Our Club member Charles Tran will demonstrate how to use The Defibrillator, Members may be aware Kerry Packer had a heart attack on a Polo Field years ago and A Defibbrillator which was on hand was put to good use and saved his life, Come along to this dinner meeting for a very interesting and practical demonstration of this life saving device. |

Grant joined Rotary Woodend in 2004 and has been Club President twice, Grant has a 37 year Career with Ambulance Victoria, With an interest in stroke management he has directed statewide improvements for patients with stroke, He was awarded the National Stroke Foundation presidents award in 2018 and is still working on significant improvements in Pre Hospital Stroke Management Grant is a past District Governor for Rotary D9800 and is currently the chair of the District 9800 Foundation Committee. Grant will be providing an update on the the Rotary Foundation and the work being done by Rotarians, assisted by The Rotary Foundation, At District Level has served as Community Service Director and Assistant Governor and District Governor in 2019-20, Currently Grant is the D9800 Rotary Foundation Chair and leads the committee for the Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards in Victoria which is an inaugural multi district project. |

The Sumba Eye Program, established in 2007, is targeted at delivering eye care services to the people of Sumba and building the capacity of the local and regional health staff to provide effective eye care for the community in Nusa Tenggara Timur.
Come along and enjoy a fun-filled evening of good food, great entertainment and friendship, and raise money for this important healthcare program, delivering free eyecare and new hope to the people of the island of Sumba, Indonesia. Ticket price includes a tax-deductible donation of $30 to the ongoing work of the Sumba Eye Program, a joint project of the Rotary clubs of Glenferrie and Kew, and Foresight Australia.
