Club President Dr Mark Ellis AM, carrying the baton for the last two Covid-stretched years, will hand over the President's Chain of Office to President Elect Teresa Liu, in an entertaining evening of celebration, of Rotary, the achievements of Rotary and the accomplishments of members of the Rotary Club of Glenferrie. The new club Board of Directors will be announced and introduced. Ticket includes two course meal. Drinks at bar prices.

Dianne Sides is President of the Boroondara Family Network. The Boroondara Family Network, founded by The Rotary Club of Glenferrie in 2000, provides assistance to young families in the City, particularly where young mothers do not have family support.

The club will meet at the Camberwell Art Show frpm 6:00pm to admire paintings submitted by talented artists from across Australia. Bring partners and friends. To book tickets for the Art Show, click on this link: www.camberwellartshow.org.au

At 7:45pm, after admiring the paintings, everyone will adjourn to The Glnefrrie Hotel, 5 minutes walk from the Art Show, for an evening meal and a barrel of laughs.

Importantly, Dominic is playing a key role in Mentor Match, a partnership between Outcome.Life, Rotary Districts of Victoria and Study Melbourne with a sole purpose: to build confidence in Victoria's 200,000+ international students.

Strongly supported by Rotary District 9800, Mentor Match promises to be a major new Vocational Service project for the club. Dominic's address will explain how we can help.

Rotarian Michael Berry, Past President of the Rotary Club of Glenferrie (2007-2008), was inducted on October 13th 1998. In the nearly 24 years since, Michael has held a number of key club roles, been a strong contributor to the work of Rotary, and a mentor to many Rotarians. He is a Paul Harris Fellow with one sapphire. Well respected in the club and throughout the District, Michael will be inducted as an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Glenferrie, in recognition of his outstanding career as a Rotarian and the high esteem in which he is held. As Guest Speaker, Michael will talk to us about his life, career, and his adventures in Rotary service.

Save the date for the 2022 Zone 8 Rotary and Rotaract ‘Better Together’ Conference in Canberra ACT.

With borders opening and COVID-19 restrictions easing, now is the time to begin planning your attendance at “Better Together” Zone 8 Conference in Canberra.

From Friday 28 October to Sunday 30 October, the conference will celebrate the very best of Rotary and Rotaract.

We have experienced a lot over the last three years since we met in person and now is the time to reflect and to look at where we are heading. The future is looking hopeful and together we can share what we have learnt and to showcase the impact of our projects.

It is time to catch up with friends and renew those connections that make our organisation a truly unique one – friendships are for life.

The stories of Rotaractors and Rotarians helping locally and internationally need to be heard and this is the time to tell them. We have a diverse and exciting lineup of speakers to entertain, engage and inform you.

Special social events are being planned to show off Australia’s capital including the conference dinner which will be sure to delight!

In addition to the conference, why not take some time out to stay longer in Canberra to appreciate what this wonderful city has to offer. 

Tickets sales will open in May 2022 so ensure you keep your clubs and members informed as we can’t wait to see you soon.

We want all Rotarians and Rotaractors across the Zone to know that this is an event not to be missed - because we really are Better Together!
