Colombia
Feb 08, 2022 6:30 PM
Geoffrey Widmer and wife Kay joined the Rotary Club of Glenferrie just a short time ago, but he and Kay have already delivered their Member Behind the Badge talks. Both Geoff and Kay had stories which absorbed and intrigued those fortunate enough to be at that club meeting. One topic grasped people's imagination even more tightly. Geoff, a fluent Spanish speaker, was until recently the Honorary Consul in Melbourne for the Republic of Colombia. Geoff returns at this, our first meeting for the year, to expand upon his remarkable experiences in this fascinating role. ¡No te lo pierdas, amigos! Bookings essential |

Rail Trails Australia
Feb 15, 2022 6:30 PM
Rail trails follow the routes of former railways. They cut through hills, over embankments and across gullies and creeks. Most have a gravel or dirt surface and are great for walking, mountain bikes and horses. Some are sealed and are great for touring bikes too. Dr Steven Kaye, Committee Member, and Darren McClelland, Regional Representative will inspire you with their passion for cycling these old trails, and the adventures that lie therein. |
